Luxembourg City – spectacularly located on the banks of two rivers with a fascinating historical centre. Explore the Grand Ducal Palace, which has been a royal residence since the 19th century with a guided tour from the tourist office.
Vianden – one of the most famous beauty spots in the Grand Duchy, surrounded by ramparts and overlooked by a spectacular castle. This is an essential day out while camping in Luxembourg - take a chairlift high above the town for a stunning view over the valley.
Esch-sur-Sûre – a small market town magnificently situated amidst wooded hills and almost completely surrounded by the river Sûre.
Bourscheid Castle – the ruins of this castle dominate the area. Overlooking the Sûre river, they offer wonderful views over three valleys. From here, there are lovely walks to the local villages, plus a beautiful drive along the road to Goebelsmühle.
Echternach – a beautiful town on the Luxembourg/German border which has retained a medieval atmosphere. The Place du Marché, in the centre of the town boasts some elegant old houses, the most notable of which is the 15th century town hall.
Berdorf – situated on the banks of the Sûre, at the entrance to the Müllerthal region and the Germano-Luxembourg Natural Park, Berdorf is one of the main tourist destinations. From here you will find delightful walking paths leading through gulfs and chasms.
