Things to do in Switzerland

Jungfrau Railway – this railway winds upwards through beautiful scenery to a glacier, stunning views and, at 11,000 feet, the highest station in Europe. An enjoyable family day out while on a camping or mobile home holiday in Switzerland.

Zermatt – a pretty village, offering a stupendous view of the Matterhorn. This is a year-round ski resort, with many summer trails, as well as outstanding glacier and mountain walks.

Bern – the capital of Switzerland, an extremely pretty and lively city. Visit the famous bear pits, a feature of the town since the 15th century.

Saas-Fee – a charming village and popular ski resort, known as the ‘Pearl of the Alps’. This is a superb starting point for many pleasant alpine walks, and famous for its year round skiing. Our campsite in Switzerland, Camping Manor Farm, is around a two hour drive away from Saas-Fee.

The Schilthorn – famous for its James Bond restaurant, the Schilthorn can be reached by an impressive set of cable car trips. It is also worth visiting the spectacular Trummelbach Falls, accessible by an underground funicular railway.

Mürren and Wengen – two small villages perched high on opposite sides of the Lauterbrunnen valley, offering spectacular views. No cars are allowed in the villages, which can only be reached by rail or cable car.

It is a 170 mile drive from Steinach to Interlaken.

Sail to Bilbao or Santander then drive through Spain - it's a 350-450 mile journey (7 hours). From Bilbao it is 43 miles to Noja.
