Camping les Deux Fontaines This striking campsite is two miles from the parish of Névez which comprises a group of around 30 different hamlets and a few restaurants. The pretty town of Pont Aven is a 15 minute drive and offers a good choice of bars and restaurants. A walk down a farm track from site leads you to Raguenès Plage in around 15 minutes (or a five minute drive) where you will find good sandy spots and rock pools for crab fishing. Camping les Deux Fontaines Pont Aven (6mls) was home to artist Paul Gauguin and the Pont Aven school of art. It is still as picturesque as it was then, with riverside houses, watermills and walks in the Bois d’Armour. The Château de Trévarez (1hr) is a tranquil place, set within 85 hectares of exotic parkland. Try your hand at canoeing, horseriding, quad biking or paintball, while those with a head for heights will love the tree-top adventure course and indoor climbing wall. Walks and mountain bike trips into the nearby forest and surrounding area are also organised, as well as archery and swimming lessons for children. There is a superb pool complex on site, offering a four-lane waterslide and a toboggan, as well as an excellent indoor pool with a paddling pool and waterfall.
Camping Ty-Nadan The site sits on the river bank in the Ellé Valley, and is two miles from the pretty village of Arzano. Quimperlé is an atmospheric little town, six miles from site, it offers superb restaurants in its narrow medieval streets and a market in its town square on Fridays. The nearest coastal beach is the long sandy Guidel-Plage, around a 20 minute drive from site, windsurfing is available here. Camping Ty-Nadan Roscoff 84, Cherbourg 242, Calais 443 mls. Camping Ty-Nadan Set within the walled town of Concarneau (32mls) is a remarkable fishing museum which displays the history and techniques of fishing from around the world. The 18th century town of Lorient (18mls) was demolished in WWII and rebuilt in the 1950’s and has an interesting dockyard and submarine base. Set in the parkland grounds of a Breton manor house, this beautifully maintained ‘Castels’ site has been awarded ‘five red tents’ by Michelin and offers a wide range of first class facilities.

The spacious emplacements are surrounded by mature trees and hedges, which offer some shade and privacy. Camping la Grande Métairie This site has a majestic setting in the Carnac area where you can marvel at the many standing stones, some of which are opposite the site. Carnac Ville is around a five minute drive from site and offers some facilities. Carnac Plage is a few minutes drive further on, offering many shops, bars and restaurants. The closest beach is Men-Du which is around ten minutes by car and has a small island which can be reached at low tide. Camping la Grande Métairie If you like boats take a trip to La Trinité-sur-Mer (3mls) - one of the yachting capitals of France. Many flock here to watch the sun setting, it’s one of the best spots in the area. Visit the pretty town of Auray, (9mls) which has a lovely harbour and interesting buildings. Camping la Grande Métairie The Carnac area is rich in Menhirs and dolmens dating from the Neolithic times, between 5000 and 3000BC. The visitor centre in Carnac has some enlightening information. It is worth driving to the north of Carnac to see the Tumulus de Kercado - one of the oldest megalithic structures in the world. Unwind on the sun terraces surrounding the pools or in the inviting jacuzzi.

Most of the emplacements here are grassy and are divided by trees and tall hedges, which provide privacy, shade and plenty of space for the children to play. The friendly atmosphere of the bar is a good place to relax in the evening and throughout the season you can join in with the entertainment programme, which caters for families of all ages. Venture off site to explore the hidden coves and rock pools which adorn this rugged coastline.
Camping la Pointe St Gilles Camping la Pointe St Gilles is just a twenty minute walk along the coast from Bénodet, where you will find a yacht harbour and a delightful town with cafés and restaurants. There is a small and sandy beach opposite the site and two others within walking distance.
