The Massif de l’Estérel is a stunning volcanic mountain range covered by a dense forest providing a choice of excellent walking and cycling routes. A drive along La Corniche d’Or coastal road is a must. Marvel at the azure blue and emerald green waters of the Mediterranean and stop-off for a picnic at one of the pretty creeks or secluded beaches.

Camping la Baume is set on the edge of the Esterel forest. The facilities here are unrivalled, and although this is a large and lively site, the woods and terraced landscaping give it a smaller, more intimate feel.
The tropical pool complex is sure to be a favourite with all of the family. Fringed with palm trees and surrounded by a sweeping sun terrace, there are five pools, a separate lagoon pool and six twisting waterslides, plus a jacuzzi. There are plenty of activities to choose from, including a fully equipped gym, tennis and archery. As the sun goes down, enjoy a meal at the popular restaurant and bar where there is entertainment throughout the season. Please note that nearby traffic noise can be heard from some parts of the campsite.
Camping la Baume
The popular tourist resort of Fréjus sits three miles from site. Here you’ll discover an excellent range of amenities along twisting narrow streets and a fabulous market on Thursdays and Saturdays. There is also a wonderful beach. Stretching for over two miles it has a gently shelving shoreline, ideal for younger children. This is a good location for watersports enthusiasts, with plenty of facilities available.

Take a trip over the border into Italy. Ventimiglia houses Europe’s largest outdoor market and is well worth the day trip. Explore the ancient town of Antibes (28 mls). Look out for famous paintings by Picasso and take in the breathtaking scenery around the Garoupe Sanctuary and Cap d’Antibes.

Camping la Pachacaïd is a lively family site, yet still a peaceful haven set high in the Provençal countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the Riviera. The emplacements sit on steep terraces up the hillside with many offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
The facilities here are modern and well kept – there is a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and a bar, the location for the nightly entertainment in high season. The main attraction however is the Niagara Waterpark – located at the centre of the site it comprises five pools (including one just for the children) and seven twisting waterslides, which wind through the pine trees. Relax on the sunbathing terrace, or indulge in a soothing jacuzzi or Turkish bath.

The campsite is located on the edge of the Maures Mountains, around one and a half miles from the small village of La Mole. Here you will find basic facilities, including restaurants and a small supermarket. The nearest beaches are at Le Rayol and Canadel (both around a six mile drive). The chic resort and beautiful beaches of St Tropez are 11 miles away.

Be sure to visit the picturesque town of Port Grimaud (8mls) - there is an excellent market every Thursday and Sunday. Visit the Provençal village of Ramatuelle (12mls). Set amongst vines, with vaulted passageways and winding streets, the amphitheatre is the venue for the village’s jazz festivals which are held each year.

Windsurfing and sailing enthusiasts will adore the sandy coves and beaches stretching from St Raphaël (5mls) to St Maxime (12mls). If you prefer fresh water, head to Lac de Cassien (12mls) for a spot of fishing or a canoe ride. The wine-producing village of Taradeau (18mls) offers the ideal opportunity to sample the renowned regional wines.
