Camping Cypsela One of Spain's finest campsites, with plenty of activities on offer. Camping Cypsela Gerona has a fascinating archaeological walk that runs around the city and the medieval old quarter is full of cafés and little shops to explore. Figueres is a pleasant town famous for its connections with the surrealist artist Salvador Dali and the fascinating museum of his work. There are some great sheltered coves nearby at Sa Riera and Sa Punta, which children will love to explore. Pedaloes can be hired at Sa Riera beach and the beach at Estartit (9mls) is especially good for watersports. Camping Cypsela A superb, self-contained holiday resort with a wide range of facilities. Camping Castell Montgri Camping Castell Montgri is a well-maintained site with superb facilities, located at the base of Rocamura Mountain and arranged in a series of steep terraces up the hillside.

There is no need to go far to enjoy a lively holiday – the site runs a first-class animation programme and facilities to suit every need, including sports competitions, ice cream parlours and a nightly disco (soundproofed) for teenagers. The main attraction has to be the superb pool complexes, one with stunning views of the coastline and mountains and each with its own restaurant, bar and terrace. Our emplacements are near to the smaller pool complex in a quieter part of the site. Separated by small shrubs, they provide an excellent spot to relax in the evenings. Camping Castell Montgri The bustling resort of Estartit, with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, as well as a modern harbour area, is around a mile’s walk. There is a glorious beach of fine golden sands and plenty of opportunity for watersports just a fifteen minute walk from the campsite. A free bus runs from site to Estartit in July and August. Camping Castell Montgri Ideal for teenagers with excellent facilities and three pool complexes. Camping la Siesta Camping la Siesta is idyllically located close to the beautiful scenery and spectacular beaches of the Costa Brava. The emplacements are scattered amongst mature pine trees, which provide welcome shade from the hot sun.

The facilities are well maintained, and offer something for everyone - the active will enjoy games of volleyball and tennis, while younger children will have hours of fun at the well equipped children’s playground. The main draw however, is the fabulous pool complex. Here, there is ample space to relax on the spacious sun terrace, and two large pools for swimming. As evening falls, most holidaymakers migrate to the bars and restaurant, or head to nearby Calella where there is a wealth of bars and restaurants. Camping la Siesta Camping la Siesta is situated amongst pine forests, a fifteen minute walk up hill from the picturesque town of Calella de Palafrugell. Here you will find all of the basic facilities, including bars and restaurants, as well as a delightful sandy beach, backed by a long promenade. Here there are plenty of coves where you should find a secluded spot. Camping la Siesta Bilbao 453, Cherbourg 762, Calais 772 mls. Camping la Siesta Tamariu (4mls) is a delightful fishing village that has retained much of its charm. Steep cliffs and pine covered hills stretch down to the sea, where there is a lovely beach. Rent a boat and see the coast from a different angle. The best way to see the sights of Palafrugell is by joining one of the guided tours around the town. Camping la Siesta Children will enjoy a visit to the Animal Park at Sobrestany (45mins drive). Camping Park Playa Bara Camping Park Playa Bara, situated on the Costa Dorada, is a beautifully maintained lively site with a Mediterranean flavour. The central avenue is lined with palm trees, colourful flowers and cool ceramic tiled benches and leads to a beautiful sandy beach.

The attractive pool complex is an excellent place to relax. Unwind in the jacuzzi or under a palm tree on the spacious sun terrace then enjoy a refreshing drink from the pool side bar. In the evenings, the site comes alive. Sample a delicious meal and tempting ice cream in the attractive walled courtyard of the on-site restaurant, then head for the open air amphitheatre where the lively entertainment continues until midnight. Night owls can dance the night away at the site’s own underground disco. Please note that noise from the nearby train line and road may be heard from the emplacements. Camping Park Playa Bara The nearest town is the small resort of Coma Ruga, which is a four mile drive away. Here, there is a good range of facilities and a train station with regular links to Barcelona. There is a bus stop directly outside the site where you can get a bus to the old town of Tarragona (15mins). Please note that noise from the nearby train line and road may be heard from the emplacements. The nearest beach is a 600 yard walk through the campsite.
