Things to do in Holland

Amsterdam - If you are camping in Holland, a day trip to Amsterdam is a must. It is a wonderful cosmopolitan city with a superb range of art galleries and museums - take in the main sights on a canal boat tour through the many waterways.

Den Haag - The residence of the Dutch royal family and the parliament capital of the Netherlands. Explore the centre of the city on foot – be sure to visit the beautiful Binnenhof, the old town.

Hoge-Veluwe National Park – The largest national park in Holland covers 5,500 hectares and is home to an array of wild animals, including red deer and wild boar.

Delft – Widely renowned for its blue pottery, Delftware. In the historic centre, discover canals passing under arched bridges, silent courtyards and narrow alleys, looming churches and majestic mansions.

Rotterdam – A popular city of architecture offering over thirty museums. One of the most popular attractions is the Euromast, a 185 metre high tower that offers fantastic views over the whole of Rotterdam.

Duinrell Theme Park - located at Camping Duinrell in Holland, the theme park offers fun rides and attractions for all ages - and it's all free if you holiday at Duinrell.

Getting there

Short Sea Crossing
From Calais, it is a 214 mile drive to Wassenaar.

Long Sea Crossing
Cross to Zeebrugge and it is a 3-4 hour drive to Camping Duinrell. Alternatively, cross to Rotterdam and it is just 40 miles to Wassenaar. The port of Amsterdam is also a 40 mile drive. Sail to the Hook of Holland and it's around an hour's drive to the campsite.  

By Air
Fly to Amsterdam (Schiphol) and it is just a 20 minute drive to Wassenaar.
