How do I price my holiday?
Our holiday prices are based on a 12 night price. Your first night at
your campsite determines the price of your holiday.
Use the 'Extra/Fewer Nights' figure if you wish to stay for more or less
than our standard 12 nights. There is a nightly site supplement on most
sites and additional supplements depending on what type of mobile home
you select.
If you need any assistance in pricing your holiday, call our Reservations
Team - they'll be delighted to help.
What's the difference between a Tailor-made holiday
and a Short Break holiday?
A Tailor-Made holiday is for 7 to 21 nights' duration for any dates between
Easter and the end of October. A Canvas Short Break is 3 to 6 nights and
can be booked for any arrival up to 14th July or for arrivals on or after
19th August.
How do I find out about Special Offers?
Details of our offers can be found in the Canvas brochure,
or in the Special Offers section of this website.
If you join our
e-mailing list, you will automatically receive information
about any new special offers and late availability. When you call to book,
our Reservations Team will help you to get the best priced holiday available
at the time.

What deposit is due to secure my booking?
To confirm your holiday booking we need a deposit of £120 per
party plus your personal or family combined Insurance premium. (If booking
Motorail,
we require an additional deposit of £100).
When is the balance due and can I pay by installments?
Payment for the balance of your holiday is due 10 weeks before departure.
We require full payment on this date - but you are free to pay by installments
in the period before the final balance due date.
How can I pay for my holiday?
You can pay with a cheque, Switch or Delta card. Visa and Mastercard payments
are also acceptable but regrettably we have to levy a 2% administration
fee to cover the costs of processing balance payments by credit card.
Do I need travel insurance?
We believe insurance cover is vital and we will automatically arrange
Personal Insurance for you unless you submit to us, at the time of booking,
proof that you have taken equivalent or higher cover elsewhere. The free
insurance cover provided by some credit card companies is inadequate, as is the E111 form
which, for example, does not cover emergency repatriation. We will not
accept a booking without proof of adequate insurance.
What is Breakage Waiver?
It is a payment of just £15 per night which then covers
you for accidental damage and loss of equipment occurring in or to your
Canvas accommodation. Even if there is an accident that results in serious
damage, there is not extra to pay. (The Breakage Waiver is non-refundable).
If you choose not to take the Breakage Waiver cover, you will be asked
for a deposit of £100/€150 on the campsite. The deposit
will be returned to you on departure from the accommodation, less the
cost of any breakages or lost items. The deposit provides cover for up
to £100/€150 and you will be separately liable for costs
exceeding this amount.
Can I break my journey with an overnight stop?
Yes, if you are travelling to the south of France or beyond, we recommend
that you stay overnight at a campsite. We offer overnight stop facilities
at 30 sites which are located around Europe. An overnight stay in a tent
for the whole family costs as little as £14 per night, while
a mobile costs from £22. We can also book your overnight stay
at one of 300 hotels from major chains like Novotel and Campanile. Prices
start at £49 per night for a double room.
Do Canvas guarantee any special requests?
If you notify us at the time of booking that you would like adjacent accommodation
or have another special request, we will note this on the computer and
advise our couriers on site. Our ability to provide it depends on the
layout of our units on site and the pattern of departures prior to the
start of your holiday. Whilst we always try to meet your requests, we
cannot guarantee to do so.
At which sites can I get cots and high chairs?
All of our mobile homes have a cot facility and if you are staying in a tent
you can order a travel cot (which doubles as a playpen) - we can also provide
a high chair if required (from £1 per night). If you choose a holiday at one of our Toddler Club
sites, take advantage of our special offer of a free cot and high chair. Please
reserve at the time of booking.
Can my children sleep in the Mini Tent?
The Canvas Mini Tent, pitched alongside your own tent or mobile, is designed
as a daytime play tent for your children.
It is available at selected sites across France and can be pre-booked
for £4 per night. The maximum party size for your accommodation
remains at six persons (or 7/8 depending on which type of mobile home
you choose).
