What facilities can we expect on site?
Our site portfolio is very wide - there are sites large and small, quiet
and lively. Most campsites will have a swimming pool - some have indoor
pools, others have pool complexes with waterslides. Sites typically have
a children's play area, tennis court, table tennis, bar/café, takeaway
and a food shop for all your basic provisions. Our larger sites have daytime
and evening entertainment programmes during July and August.
What are the toilet/shower facilities like?
We select sites with super washblocks - with English-style toilets, hot
showers and cubicles with wash-hand basins. Many of our sites have special
baby bathing cubicles and low-level children's toilets. Washing machines
and tumble driers are the norm along with drying lines, ironing boards
and irons to hire.
Does Canvas provide entertainment for children and
teenagers?
Yes, we have a full range of organised activities for children of all
ages. Toddlerland, available on eight sites, is a fully equipped
play area for children aged three and under. Hoopi's Club
is our club for children aged four to seven, available on 38 sites. We haven't forgotten
about teenagers - there's the all-action Buzz Club which organises
sporting and social events at ten of our most popular teenager sites..
Are any campsites suitable for people with a disability?
Many of our campsites have been audited using the National Accessibility
Scheme for Caravan parks. The audit assesses whether a site meets the
basic standards using the following criteria:
At least one Canvas tent pitch is accessible to a wheelchair and is within
100 metres of a toilet block with adapted facilities. There is also access
to the site shop, bar/restaurant with assistance. Please ask our Reservations
team for more information about specific sites.
