Which ferry routes can I take?
You are free to choose the ferry route that best suits you. The shortest
crossings are from Dover, Newhaven and Folkestone. For a more leisurely
crossing, travel either by day or night from Portsmouth, Poole or Plymouth.
There are crossings from the north east of England too - from Hull and
Newcastle. Customers from Ireland can either sail direct to France from
Rosslare or Cork or use Landbridge routes which involve crossing the Irish
Sea, travelling through Britain before crossing the Channel to France.
Can I make my own travel arrangements?
Yes, if you prefer to book your own ferry or travel by air, all you have
to do is tell your Reservations Advisor when you call to book. For UK customers, £40 will be deducted from your holiday price.
Can we take a second car?
If you are taking two cars we charge £100 for the second car
plus any ferry route supplements. There may be some restrictions about
parking two cars on a campsite pitch, ie. the second car may have to be
parked in a car park especially in high season - please check with your
Reservations Advisor.
Can I stay at more than one campsite?
Yes, the choice is yours - you can visit as many campsites as you like across. Alternatively, you might prefer to have a Twin Centre holiday eg. 1 week in Brittany, 1 week in the Loire Valley.
Can we take a roof rack/box on our car?
You must tell us at the time of booking if you are planning to take a
roof-rack, roof box, bike, or windsurfer as these can take your vehicle
over the standard height limit for Channel crossings. There is limited
space for vehicles which exceed standard height limits and additional
charges apply.
Can we take bikes on the back of the car
As with roof-racks, you must advise us of your plans at time of booking.
Additional charges apply and you may be refused entry to the ferry if,
for example, a rear bike carrier is not included on your booking.
Can we travel out with one ferry company and back
with another?
No, you must use the same company for both outward and inward sailings -
but routes can be mixed. However, you can mix the day crossings of P&O Stena
with P&O North Sea. You can also mix Sea France
(Dover - Calais) with Condor (Poole - St Malo).
Can you book flights for me?
There is an abundance of low-cost airlines offering excellent flight
prices to Europe. As these airlines are usually direct sell operations,
we cannot book flights for you. What we can do however is arrange your
campsite accommodation and very keenly priced car hire at the majority
of airports.
