French Alps
Grenoble
– the capital of the Alps is a lively and
modern city with a fascinating old quarter. Take a
cable car to Fort de la Bastille for a spectacular view.

Annecy – a charming town set on the clear blue lake
of Lac d’Annecy. Canals cut through the old quarter,
whilst the lake is a haven for water lovers - both
leisurely cruises and active watersports are available.

Chamonix – the site of the first Winter Olympics is situated in a valley at the junction of France, Italy and Switzerland. The world’s highest cable car gives you a hair-raising trip to the Aiguille du Midi and a breathtaking view.

Jura
Cascades du Hérisson
– a spectacular series of thundering waterfalls which drop almost 2000 feet in less than two miles. Follow the marked path through the forest for an outstanding view.

Baume-les-Messieurs – a glaciated canyon, leading to an amazing system of caves and underground lakes, in a breathtaking village setting.

Morez – Take a worthwhile sightseeing tour on the Ste Claude railway which runs from Morez to Morbier. The route offers incredible views of the surrounding scenery, passing over numerous viaducts en route.
