Two countries of limitless charm. Germany is a land of lively towns and villages, strong culture and customs. Explore the forest-covered hills, hill-top meadows and glacial lakes of the Black Forest. Luxembourg offers a blend of spectacular scenery and beautiful historic towns.

Germany
Trier – Germany’s oldest town boasts some fine Roman remains, including the Porta Nigra, a fortified gate built in the 2nd Century. Visit the huge cathedral, which is one of the oldest in Germany.

Europa Park – a huge leisure and adventure park,
situated in the grounds of a real Black Forest castle.
There are dare devil rollercoasters, as well as a superb
range of shows that will appeal to all age ranges.

Freiburg – the capital of the Black Forest is an attractive city dominated by the beautiful Gothic cathedral. If you have a good head for heights, climb to the top of the spire for a fabulous view of the city and surrounding hills.

Luxembourg
Luxembourg City
– is spectacularly located on the
banks of two rivers with a fascinating historical centre.
Explore the Grand Ducal Palace, which has been a royal
residence since the 19th century with a guided tour from
the tourist office.

Vianden – one of the most famous beauty spots in the Grand Duchy, surrounded by ramparts and overlooked by a spectacular castle. Take a chairlift high above the town for a stunning view over the valley.

Esch-sur-Sūre – a small market town magnificently situated amidst wooded hills and almost completely surrounded by the river Sūre. The ruins of a once mighty castle dominate the town.
