Wimbledon fortnight kicks off today. And that means I’ll be glued to the games, pondering whether it’s time to dust off my dusty racket.
While I don’t get much time to play these days, I do enjoy a game while I’m on holiday. And OK, campsite tennis courts aren’t exactly the centre court at Wimbledon – but there are advantages. You don’t have to wear white (although it is good for showing off a tan) and the nation won’t collectively hold their breath if you miss a key shot. Mind you, there’s no hawk-eye to resolve in/out arguments either…
Here’s my top 3 sites for a game of tennis. Pass the Pimms…
An ever-popular choice with Canvas holidaymakers, Camping Park Playa Bara is perfect for families of all ages. Ideally located for day trips to Barcelona or PortAventura, there’s also plenty going on to keep everyone amused.
The tennis courts are well kept, and there are short tennis and squash courts too.
Here’s a short video showing all the sports facilities at Camping Park Playa Bara.
As far as campsites go, Berny really does have it all. Which of course includes tennis! The courts have recently been relocated (which means they are in great condition!) to the new area of site. It’s €7 an hour to rent them – equipment is also available.
As it’s a Canvas FamilyExtra site, you can get rid of the kids for a couple f hours while you enjoy a set of two!
Quite simply, there is loads going on at Camping la Sirène. If you like to keep active on holiday with different activities to choose from every day, then this is the campsite for you!
The on-site entertainment team organise a choice of activities throughout the day – and you may even find a tennis tournament to join in with!
Do you have any campsites you’d add to the list?
