Our top fishing campsites
Camping la Garangeoire is a tranquil site set in the 200-hectare estate of a family château among the attractive mature oak trees. There are two fishing lakes on site heavily stocked with carp, pike, tench, roach and rudd. No permit is needed to fish in the lakes, and equipment is available to hire on site.
Camping Domaine des Ormes, situated on the site of a 16th century château in Brittany, has been transformed into one of France’s finest campsites. The old watermill is now the bar, and the coach house and stables are now the golf club, while the golf course winds its way through the woods and over the hill. Fishing fans will love the beautiful tree-lined fishing lake.
Camping les Etangs Fleuris is a quiet haven located in the depths of rural countryside near the hamlet of Touquin, 40 miles east of Paris. On site, the Coulplé family creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere - a pleasant contrast to the hustle and bustle of Paris and the theme parks. The small and tranquil fishing ponds are are perfect for a spot of fishing, well stocked with trout, tench, perch and carp too.
Camping Les Ranchisses is a tranquil and family friendly campsite in the Ardèche on the banks of a small river, close to the medieval village of Largentière. After a good day’s fishing you can try out the culinary specialties of Ardèche in the campsite restaurant. It’s housed in an old farm wine cellar that is almost 200 years old. Be sure to try the local wine, too!
