This peaceful campsite on the Istrian coast is the ideal base for exploring the Rovinj archipelago.
Camping Vestar is the ideal spot to escape, set away from it all in a calm bay with a pebbled beach. From the beach you’re treated to more than just the sparkling turquoise waters of the seafront, you'll also find views over the islands that surround Rovinj. The campsite features its own small harbour, ideal for renting a boat for a trip out to explore the Adriatic Sea. A visit to the on site Ulika Restaurant is a must, from here you’ll get the best views of the bay, while feasting on deliciously fresh locally caught fish and shellfish.
The campsite features a large pool adjacent to the children’s pool and Spray Park, where the kids are free to splash about in. Or why not soak up the sun at the Blue Flag awarded beach, within direct access of the campsite, and be sure to cool off in the sea! There are a variety of water sports on offer whether you are a total adrenaline junkie or just looking for a fun family activity, from banana boats to jet-skiing.
There is no Canvas Holidays courier on site.
Please note that regulations require every departing tourist to pay a tourist tax on the day of departure. This is charged at €1 per day for adults and €0.50 per day for 12-18 year olds. Under 12s are free. There is an additional registration fee of €1.20 per person upon arrival.
Camping Vestar is situated just 3 miles south of the coastal town of Rovinj. The old town of Rovinj, which was once an island before it was connected to the mainland, is definitely well worth a visit. Once part of the Venetian Republic, the architecture of Rovinj is very reminiscent of Venice, including the Tower of St Euphemia, which was modelled after St Mark’s Campanile. This is the highest tower in Istria, offering unparalleled views over the Adriatic and the green landscape.
The islands of the Rovinj archipelago are ideal for a day trip. The largest of these picture perfect islands is the St Andrew Island (Crveni Otok), a unique location for a day at the beach enjoying the Croatian sun. If you’re up for the adventure, one of the best ways to truly enjoy the beauty of the Archipelago is by kayaking along the hidden beaches.
