Overview of la Bien Assise
With a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of space for children to play, 5* Campsite La Bien Assise is a brilliant destination for family friendly holidays in the north of France. Conveniently located on the fringes of the Guînes forest in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, the resort is blessed with first-rate facilities and beautiful natural surroundings.
The swimming pool complex at the resort caters to all holidaymakers, and boasts a main pool that is both covered and heated, as well as a water slide. Sun loungers are arranged around the pool, so sun worshippers can work on their tans.
There are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy onsite, whether you fancy serving up aces on the tennis court or putting your way around the crazy golf course. With slides, seesaws and swings, the playground is a great place for youngsters to have fun and make new friends, while the cycling paths around the campsite are perfect for exploring the local surroundings.
The former stables have been carefully converted into a welcoming shop and bar, and the traditional French restaurant, La Ferme Gourmande, is set in an old farmstead where both locals and guests relish the gourmet fare.
The grassy emplacements located in the pretty parkland are home to our range of accommodation options that include modern mobile homes featuring spacious living areas, useful amenities and in some units, sun decking and/or air conditioning.

The town of Guînes is a ten-minute walk from the site and has a few cafés, restaurants and shops, as well as the interesting St. Joseph Village, a charmingly recreated village of the 1900s.
The campsite is ideally positioned close to Calais, and its ferry port. Aside from being a gateway to travels in France, the town boasts a handful of great tourist attractions such as the Les Bourgeois de Calais sculpture, the Second World War museum, the City of Lace and Fashion museum and Calais Lighthouse.
The Nausicaä sea centre (25 mins drive from site) is an exciting attraction which aims to raise public awareness of the sea with thousands of species of fish on display. Take a trip to Aqualud waterpark in Le Touquet (39mls) for a wet and wild day out, with slides, wave pools and a Jacuzzi.
