Welcome to the Coucou campsite in the heart of the Dordogne.
Ideally perched on the edge of a beautiful lake and just 2km from Château de Hautefort, Camping Coucou is a 3* campsite in a great woodland environment. It offers the perfect place to relax and embrace nature.
The campsite has a swimming pool, a paddling pool for children, a sports ground and a bowling alley. In high season, the Coucou team offers entertainment around these highlights. For your relaxing moments, you can isolate yourself with a good book in the shade of trees or on the terrace of your mobile home. The mobile homes are conveniently located on green and wooded sites, thus preserving the peaceful atmosphere that is famous for the holidays in the Périgord Noir.
The main attraction of the campsite is the lake and waterpark. Pond du Coucou cover an impressive 6 acres and offers up plenty of nice spots for a picnic, as well as designated picnic tables from where you can eat before taking a dip in the lake. The pond at the foot of the campsite also offers 13 fishing stations. You just need to buy the fishing map at the campsite to enjoy a day’s fishing.
The waterpark is an enjoyable place for everyone and features an inflatable course so young and old can make a splash.
Around the campsite, the whole Périgord Noir is within your reach so you can explore the beauty of the Dordogne region with ease. Start with a trip to Nailhac before visiting Château de Hautefort and it’s lovingly tended French garden. It is a jewel of architecture dating back to medieval times and modified in the classical era. Holidaymakers can also take a leisurely stroll to Sarlat (50 minutes from the campsite), Périgueux (45 minutes from the campsite) and Brive-la-Gaillarde (45 minutes from the campsite) or visit the caves of Lascaux (25 km from the campsite).
A rich and diverse holiday awaits you at Camping Coucou.
