Overview of la Forêt du Pilat
A haven of peace and serenity, Campsite La Forêt du Pilat occupies and idyllic location at the base of Dune du Pilat in the charming coastal town of Pyla sur Mer. Scale the enormous dune in the early morning and be treated to stunning panoramas of the nearby bay of Arcachon and Atlantic Ocean.
The theme of relaxation can be felt at the swimming pool complex, where sun loungers surround the waters and tall pines stretch to the skies. Children can cool off in the mini splash pool with waterfall while the adults chill out. Make your away to the wellness area for a reinvigorating massage and a session in the steam room or sauna.
If the kids aren’t enamoured with the slow pace of the campsite, the best place for them is the fantastic Children’s Club. Let them burn some energy as they engage in sports, games, competitions and crafts in the company of other kids. For grown-ups, aqua aerobics, cocktail games, live shows and music provide the entertainment.
You won’t have to venture out of the campsite for meals and provisions if you don’t want to. The resort is well served by a restaurant, takeaway, pizzeria, bakery, bar and snack bar for meals, while the mini-market, grocery store and souvenir shop are well stocked with everything you need.
A calming atmosphere flows through the accommodation area, so you can fully relax in your mobile homes, chalet or tent at the end of the day. All of our accommodation meets our high standards on facilities, amenities, comfort and space.

While the campsite is ideal for relaxing, the local area is great for embarking on adventures. In addition to the famous Dune du Pyla, the region is home to several trails on which to walk, run or cycle. The gorgeous stretch of woodland at Landes Forest is a beautiful area to explore.
An interesting and charming coast town, Arcachon is split into four areas each named after a season. Spend a day here wandering around attractions such as the La Ville d’Eté market and Aquarium before sampling the famous oysters of the region.
The vibrant city of Bordeaux is a little further afield but is most certainly worth a day trip. Especially if you love shopping, the atmosphere of a bustling city and a glass of red wine!
